Absa leadership: Is transformation in play?
Shares of Absa consolidating gains in today's session after yesterday's more than 5 per cent finish. The gains in the share priced followed the release of its interim earnings and its latest boardroom shuffle with incumbent CEO Arrie Rautenbach announcing he would be taking early retirement. The management change comes after various media reports alleging Mr Rautenbach had lost the confidence of senior leadership within the organisation who allegedly accused him of being anti-transformation. Absa has denied this.
