South Africa's net foreign reserves rise in January

South Africa’s net foreign reserves rose to $41.373 billion in January from $40.809 billion in December, the Reserve Bank said on Tuesday.

Gross reserves fell to $46.666 billion from $47.356 billion, the central bank data showed.

The forward position, which represents the central bank’s unsettled or swap transactions, rose to $2.956 billion in January from $1.771 billion in the previous month.
