Mano Moodley will take over as CEO of Ellerine Holdings Limited (EHL) from 1 March 2014 and Alan Schlesinger will assume his role as non-executive chairman of the company on the same date.
“These appointments highlight our commitment to EHL. I’m delighted to welcome individuals of this calibre to ABIL. Given their respective skill sets and industry experience, we believe they will play an integral part to improving the outlook for EHL,” said [DATA ABL:African Bank Investments Limited] (ABIL) chief executive, Leon Kirkinis.
Moodley most recently served as the chief executive for group sourcing and planning at Edcon Holdings Limited and Schlesinger is currently executive director of companies in the Intafin group.
“Both Mano and Alan have faced significant challenges in their careers and the positive outcomes they have achieved add to our belief that the future for the group continues to look brighter. We are excited about the new chapter we have entered,” Kirkinis said.
EHL, which has the Ellerines, Beares, Furniture City, Dial.a.Bed, Geen & Richards and Wetherlys brands under its belt, announced in January that Antonio Fourie would step down as chief executive of the company, with effect from 6 February 2014.
