Afrox and Sun International sign 55 million rand deal

“Securing this major agreement against strong competition can be attributed to our excellent track record, national footprint and ability to access product, be it from local refineries or importing LPG during shortages,” Afrox managing director Brett Kimber said in a statement.

[DATA AFX:African Oxygen Limited], or Afrox, specialises in gases and wielding products in sub-Saharan Africa and operates in 11 African countries.

Afrox will supply bulk and cylinder liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to [DATA SUI:Sun International], a top South African hotel chain with brands such as Sun City, The Maslow, Gaborone Sun and Lesotho Sun under its belt.

“This contract is significant to Afrox, and our LPG business in general, as Sun International is one of the largest operators of hotels and casinos in South Africa,” Kimber explained.

“To be associated with this prestigious company as a preferred supplier is of strategic importance in growing our hospitality business in this important and expanding sector.”
