SABMiller appoints Trevor Manuel as non-exec director


Manuel, a former minister in the South African government, has held various positions including Minister of Trade, finance minister and Minister in the Presidency.

“Trevor brings a wealth of experience to the board of SABMiller,” said John Manser, chairman of [DATA SAB:SABMiller].


“His track record as one of the world’s longest-serving finance ministers is exemplary and his experience of advising multilateral organisations on emerging market development and sustainability will be a great asset to the board.”

The former minister currently serves on many boards including as senior advisor and deputy chairman of Rothschild in South Africa, as co-chairman of the Green Climate Fund and as climate change finance advisor to the United Nations.

His appointment at SABMiller is effective from 1 March.
