S.African government supports Eskom chairman’s resignation: minister

The process to pick a new permanent Eskom chairman is expected to commence in the next few weeks.

The resignation of the chairman of embattled South African power utility has been accepted and the process to pick a new permanent chairman will commence in the next few weeks.

This is according to Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown.

Chairman Zola Tsotsi stepped down on Monday night amid growing criticism of his management style at the power utility which is battling the worst power crisis since 2008.
