Suspended SAA executive calls it a day


South African Airways’ suspended chief executive, Monwabisi Kalawe has left the organisation after reaching a settlement with the employer, this is according to news reports.

Kalawe who was both CEO and director was suspended in 2014 after allegations of non-uniformity emerged against him.

According to reports, the SAA chairwoman Duduzile Myeni had asked the Auditor General to investigate Kalawe for allegedly keeping secret attempts to buy shares in an insolvent airline.
