Zimbabwe’s celebrated pastor, Evan Mawarire, of #ThisFlag campaign has been freed by the country’s court.
Mawarire’s movement is known for advocating for peaceful and non-violant expression.

He was facing trumped up charges of subverting a constitutional government.
Mawarire was being represented by one of the country’s top lawyers, Harrison Nkomo of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights.
Nkomo argued that the charges raised had not followed proper legal processes. The magistrate conceded and freeded Mawarire saying his arrest was unconstitutional.

Meanwhile thousands of Zimbabwe camped outside the courts in solidarity with Pastor Evan, as he is popularly known.
Zimbabweans in London took to the streets protesting the unlawful arrest of Mawarire and more were plannned across the globe.
