Two African trains are among the top rated by the world’s super-rich, according to a recent report by Johannesburg-based New World Wealth.
South Africa’s Blue Train was second in 2016’s top rated trains and the Pride of Africa (Rovos Rail) came in third. The Eastern & Oriental Express, which runs through Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, took the number one spot.
Singapore, once again, claimed pole position in the top rated airlines with its Singapore Airlines. Australia’s Qantas Airlines was placed second, followed by Japan Airlines.
The United States of America dominated the list of hotels preferred by the wealthy with the luxurious, Italian inspired, The Bellagio Hotel leading the list. New York’s The Plaza Hotel was placed second and the London based Mandarin Oriental was placed third.
With fly-fishing becoming an increasingly popular pastime for millionaires globally, the US claimed the top rated fly-fishing rivers in the world. Five of the listed ten rivers belonged to the US with Snake River and Brooks River claiming the top two preferred rivers.
