Twitter proposes offering range of $17-$20 per share for IPO

Twitter is offering 70 million shares which could raise up to $1.4 billion for the micro blogging social media company.

Twitter plans to sell its shares for anywhere from $17 to $20 per share in an initial public offering, the company said late on Thursday.

At these prices, Twitter could be worth some over $10.9 billion.

The company did not set a date for the offering, though previous reports have said it could be as soon as next week.

The stock will list on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “TWTR.”
