Imperial, has partnered with venture capital firm Newtown Partners to launch a corporate venture capital fund who is looking into disruptive start-ups in the logistics industry, they have introduced an initial investment of $20 million. Imperial’s interim financial results revealed a 24 per cent increase in headline earnings per share to 300 cents. The logistics company declare an interim dividend of 135 cents which is a 6 per cent increase since the previous period. Imperial CEO, Mohammed Akoojee joins CNBC Africa for more.
