<p>JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) &#8211; South African Airways (SAA) said on Tuesday that it had signed a partnership deal with Emirates airline which would see the two firms expand an existing codeshare agreement and work on other areas of cooperation.</p>



<p>South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has been at pains to stabilise struggling state-run firms like SAA, which has not generated a profit since 2011.</p>

<p>Pan-African telecoms group Liquid Telecom is investing 400 million dollars in data centres and network infrastructure in Egypt over the next three years, as part of a major partnership with Telecom Egypt. The investment was announced at the Africa 2018 forum.  While speaking about the signing, Strive Masiyiwa, Founder and Group Executive Chairman of Liquid Telecom’s parent company Econet Wireless, described Egypt as a very exciting market.</p>

<p>ZURICH, Oct 26 (Reuters) &#8211; Swiss luxury group Compagnie Financiere Richemont SA and Chinese group Alibaba are joining forces to target the Chinese retail market, Richemont said on Friday.</p>
<p>The strategic partnership will feature retail offerings of Yoox Net-a-Porter Group S.p.A. (YNAP), the online luxury retailer, to Chinese consumers.</p>
<p>Under the partnership, YNAP and Alibaba will establish a joint venture to launch two mobile apps for the Net-a-Porter and Mr Porter multi-brand, in-season online stores for consumers in China.</p>

The six-year old partnership for financial inclusion in Africa brought many key lessons for the IFC and the World Bank, as well as regulators on the continent.
