Rwanda Tourism industry moving in leaps and bounds with opening of new lodge

African Wildlife Foundation renews partnership with government of Rwanda

Earlier this year, African Wildlife Foundation donated 27 hectares to Rwanda to accommodate the growing number of gorillas in the Volcanoes National Park. The organisation which has been operating in the country for the past 40 years recently renewed its partnership with the government of Rwanda. Rwanda National Park receives land to expand mountain gorilla habitat

Conservation efforts in Rwanda have seen the population of mountain gorillas triple in the last seven years. As the population rises, accommodation is conservationists’ next concern. African Wildlife Foundation donated 27 hectares to Rwanda to expand the Volcanoes National Park which is home to the endangered animals.
