Kenya Stockbrokers have retreated from a threat to suspend trading at the Nairobi Securities Exchange due to a court case involving the reintroduction of capital gains tax. Kenyan book publisher Longhorn reported first-half pre-tax profit rose 16 percent as lower costs offset a drop in sales.
