Africa must focus on locally available commodities for growth – Obasanjo


Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo said that African countries could achieve industrialisation by focusing their efforts on locally available commodities and by developing local entrepreneurs and industrialists. This was at a seminar of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank’s) Advisory Group on Trade Finance and Export Development in Africa. CNBC Africa’s Esther Awoniyi spoke with him to discuss development of trade finance in Africa.
