A new artery has opened up in the heart of East African trade connecting the Ugandan capital Kampala with the port of Mombasa in Kenya. It comes in the shape of a 525 metre bridge across the Nile that was opened officially by Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni. Business leaders in Kampala say it will transform trade in East Africa.
