Survey exposes Nairobi’s fragile food system

A recent survey by the East African Institute and the Aga Khan University found that Nairobi’s food system is fragile due poor infrastructure such as water and sanitation. With the city being among the fastest growing in terms of urbanisation in Africa, experts warn that insufficient connectivity and basic amenities are continually increasing the cost of food for urban households.
