The 52nd Session of the Economic Commission for Africa’s Conference of African Ministers, which is held in a global context marked by rising trade tensions and rising oil prices, is an opportunity for African financial leaders to discuss the several challenges faced, particularly in terms of job creation, economic growth and investment. CNBC Africa’s Fifi Peters caught up with Mambury Njie, Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs for The Gambia, to discuss the role of the finance ministry in funding Africa’s development needs.
