Kalagadi Manganese mine plans to become the largest manganese exporter

Kalagadi Manganese Mine, located in the northern Cape of South Africa, has recently embarked on its journey to become a leading exporter of manganese in the region. The mine, which has faced numerous challenges over the years, has finally started its exports after an 18-year-long struggle to establish its operations. Despite facing funding issues and undergoing significant hardships, the mine has managed to push through and achieve a milestone by exporting 500,000 tons of manganese alloy between June and March this year. The center product, with a manganese content ranging from 37% to 44%, is particularly valuable in the steel-making industry.
