South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa, who staked his leadership on an anticorruption ticket, is now under pressure to come clean about his alleged involvement in cover up of $4 million hidden in furniture at his farm in Limpopo in 2020. The latest scandal, dubbed #Farmgate is seen by some as resistance from Ramaphosa’s detractors who stand to lose from the national fight against corruption that has seen several high profile arrests.
