Africa’s air cargo market set for 50% growth amid AfCFTA integration

Africa’s air cargo market is experiencing significant growth, driven by AfCFTA’s integration of 1.3 billion people and a projected 50 per cent increase in transport demand. In 2024, air cargo traffic rose 6 per cent, with Jomo Kenyatta International Airport handling 112,000 tons in the first quarter alone.
