<p>South Africa&#8217;s Annual Consumer Price Inflation for April has come in at 4.4 per cent, that&#8217;s up from 3.2 per cent in March. Stats SA says on a month on Month Basis, the CPI was unchanged at 0.7 per cent in April, the same as the previous month. Patrick Kelly, Chief Director at Stats SA joins CNBC Africa for more.</p>

<p>South Africa’s headline consumer price inflation rose to 3.2 per cent year-on-year in March from 2.9 per cent in February. Statistics South Africa said CPI was flat at 0.7 per cent on a month-on-month basis. Core inflation, which excludes prices of food, non-alcoholic beverages, fuel and energy, was at 2.5 per cent year-on-year in March, from 2.6 per cent previously. Consumer price inflation increased to 4.5 per cent in January 2020 from 4.0 per cent in December 2019. On a month-on-month basis price growth was at 0.3 per cent in January which was the same rate for December.</p>

<p>South Africa’s consumer price index was released by stats South Africa.  Consumer Price Inflation rose by 0.1 per cent to 4.1 per cent month-on-month. The overall change to the consumer price Index was an increase of 0.8 per cent month-on-month in February 2019, the index increased by 3.6 per cent year on year. South Africa’s CPI reveals moderate inflationary increases in Feb 2019

<p>ABIDJAN (Reuters) &#8211; Consumer price inflation in Ivory Coast rose to 0.8 percent year-on-year in October, up from 0.5 percent in September, data from the National Statistics Institute showed on Monday.</p>
<p>Food and soft drink prices in the world’s top cocoa producer rose 0.5 percent year-on-year, while housing and utilities prices jumped 3.1 percent. Transport costs rose 1.2 percent.</p>
<p>Ivory Coast’s economy accounts for around 40 percent of the eight-nation West African CFA franc currency zone.</p>
