<p>Already tagged Nigeria’s commercial capital – Lagos State says it is now on a mission to seal a spot as the country’s technology and innovation hub. CNBC Africa&#8217;s Christy Cole spoke to Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor on Technology and Innovation, Olatunbosun Alake, that Lagos is making moves to remove communication barriers between the state and its tech ecosystem as well as turbo-charge levers of innovation within the state.</p>

<p>Rwanda has made it no secret that it wants to become an ICT and innovation hub on the continent. It is in line with that ambition that the government in partnership with German development agency GIZ recently launched a digital transformation centre that is expected to support Tech Start Ups and offer a place for development and testing of tech solutions. Nop Olaf Seidel, Director for Digital Solutions at GIZ joins CNBC Africa for more.</p>

<p>Kenyan Innovation hub and tech accelerator iHub announced at the ALN Africa Investment Conference in Dubai that it is partnering with Raise, a Bahamian and Kenyan technology company that has developed a company ownership platform to manage compliant digital securities in frontier markets.
