In Rwanda’s bid to create close to 2 million jobs by 2024, the government gave over $2.1 million to 117 private companies to train and provide relevant practical skills needed on labour market to the young people. CNBC Africa&#8217;s Zwena Bachoo spoke to Dennis Ndemezo, Deputy Manager Director at C&amp;D Group PinkMango, one of the companies that receiving part the funding for more.</p>

<p>Rwanda is working on scaling up the number of graduates in Technical and Vocational education and training with skills relevant to the labour market as a critical intervention to economic transformation and reduction of unemployment. <p>The year 2019 has started off on some shaky ground with a lot of economic uncertainty across various sectors including the labour market; and it also saw the introduction of the minimum wage which has companies and labour unions in constant debate on affordability and fairness of the set amount as gazetted into law by the government.
