<p>In Rwanda, Members of Parliament passed a draft law that Finance Minister Uzziel Ndagijimana presented to parliament earlier this month that reduces the consumption tax rate on beers and wines made using locally produced raw materials. Also, sources have disclosed that MTN Rwanda is weighing options of acquiring stake in Korea Telecom Rwanda Network (KTRN). <p>Rwanda’s parliament tops in the world in female representation at over 60 per cent. This however is not a common case. Globally, less than one in four members of parliament are women. <p>It is still not clear if members of parliament will vote on a secret ballot, as speaker Baleka Mbete has yet to decide. Opposition parties like the DA and EFF vowed to take Mbete to court if a secret ballot to remove Zuma from office is not granted.
