Kenya must cut budget deficit to reduce reliance on IMF, says finance minister nominee
NAIROBI, Aug 3 (Reuters) – Kenya’s finance minister nominee on Saturday defended the role of the International Monetary Fund in the economy, saying it had been invited by the government to help and that the country must reduce its budget deficits in order to cut its reliance on the IMF.
