China, Mauritius central banks agree 2 billion yuan currency swap
BEIJING, Sept 4 (Reuters) – China’s Central Bank said on Wednesday it had signed a 2 billion yuan ($281.02 million) currency swap agreement with the Bank of Mauritius that is valid for three years and can be extended by mutual agreement.
The arrangement will “help strengthen financial cooperation between the two countries, expand the use of local currencies between China and Mauritius, and promote trade and investment facilitation between the two sides,” China’s central bank said in its statement.
