UPDATE 1-Egypt’s GASC receives offers in global vegetable oil tender

(Adds background on tender and offers table) CAIRO, Oct 15 (Reuters) – The lowest offer presented at an Egyptian state purchasing tender for vegetable oils on Tuesday was $1,145 per metric tonne c&f for 29,000 tonnes of soyoil, traders said. The lowest offer presented for sunflower oil at the tender was $1,229 per metric tonne c&f for 6,000 tonnes, they added. Egyptian state grains buyer the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) said on Sunday it was seeking vegetable oils in an international tender for arrival Jan. 1-15, 2025. GASC said traders should submit c&f bids for payment at sight with funding from the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC). The deadline for offers is Oct. 15.
