<p>G20 leaders are expected to meet face-to-face today to give their political endorsement to a plan that seeks to implement a global minimum corporate income tax of at least 15 per cent at a gathering in Venice today. The group is also expected to publish a high-level independent panel report into pandemic preparedness. However, The One Campaign says, the G20 must ensure the work does not distract world leaders from tackling the current crisis. <p>Tomorrow is Mandela Day and on the occasion ONE Campaign Africa has decided to launch their new song which brings musical artists from across the continent together in an effort to raise awareness about the impact of Covid-19 on the continent. <p>The African Centre for Disease Control will hold its fifth press briefing for an update on the coronavirus situation in Africa and also speak on moves to curtail the spread of the pandemic. Edwin Ikhuoria, Executive Director of One Africa joins CNBC Africa to explore possible rescue plan for Africa amid this pandemic.</p>

The Interim Director of One Africa, Edwin Ikhuoria, says to silence the guns of conflict in Africa, the continent’s leaders must first deal with the root cause which is unemployment. Ikhuoria argues that if youths are employed, they will not be available to be radicalised. He discussed this and more with CNBC Africa’s Godfrey Mutizwa on the side-lines of the concluded 33rd African Union Summit.</p>
