The African and Asian Resilience in Disaster Insurance Scheme is a non-governmental climate insurance programme that seeks to increase access to finance and provide post disaster recovery lending to rural families and smallholder farmers living below the poverty line. Hector Ibarra, CEO of Global Parametrics joined CNBC Africa to discuss how smallholder farmers can be insured against climate disasters under this scheme.
