SAHHA hosts technical workshop to discuss the future of heavy haul railways

The South African Heavy Haul Association kicked off its annual technical workshop in Johannesburg today. More than 400 rail professionals and associates are meeting to discuss how the fourth industrial revolution will impact Africa’s heavy haul railways. CNBC Africa’s Fifi Peters spoke with Albert Links, Executive Manager, International Business at Transnet about the global status of heavy haul railway operations and how this compares to that of the rest of the continent.
