The United Nations Environment Programme says about 8 million metric tonnes of plastic end up in oceans each year. Meanwhile, Lagos State is planning to establish 57 collection centres in a bid to reduce plastic pollution in the state, but will this effort be enough to curb the plastic pollution menace?
