The cost of dealing with autism in East Africa

Many African children with autism are hidden away at home – sometimes chained up. In East Africa, many are almost always undiagnosed. The good news though is that efforts to bring the condition into the open are beginning. Pauline Wamukowa, started an autism awareness campaign and plans to build an autism centre by end of 2019.
