Monday, April 7th, will mark the 25th anniversary of the atrocity that was the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Yesterday, ahead of the official commemoration period, a two day event dubbed, the Kwibuka 25 International Conference kicked off in Kigali, bringing together researchers, policy makers, survivors and other delegates to discuss topics such as genocide prevention and the way forward. CNBC Africa spoke to Sandra Shenge, one of the co-ordinators and a moderator of the event for more.
