S.A's Treasury Director-General Lungisa Fuzile resigns
South Africa's Treasury has confirmed the departure of its Director-General Lungisa Fuzile, whose contract was due to end in May next year. In its statement Treasury said Fuzile had been indicating his desire to leave the department for some time, and in the past few days he has focussed on inducting the new Finance Minister, Malusi Gigaba. Speaking at a budget briefing in February, Fuzile had already expressed his concerns around the negative effects of an ever-changing workforce.
