Nigeria begins excise duty implementation on carbonated drinks
Nigeria has commenced the implementation of an excise duty of 10 naira per litre on all non-alcoholic, carbonated, and sweetened beverages. Meanwhile, Nigeria’s credit to the private sector reached an all-time high of over 60 years, hitting 38.1 trillion naira in May.
