<p>Fisheries are important to Tanzania’s economy, providing employment, income and foreign export revenue. The sector is responsible for over 4 million jobs and contributes more than 6 per cent to the country’s Gross Domestic Product. Yet, due in part to harmful fishing practices, the sector’s growth is declining. Geofrey Rucho, Executive Secretary at the Aquaculture Association of Tanzania,  joins CNBC Africa for more.</p>
