<p>Woolworths has recalled its Savory Rice Mix product after one of its suppliers was identified as the likely source of a Listeria outbreak in Europe. All frozen vegetables from one of its factories in Hungary were recalled &#8220;due to potential Listeria contamination&#8221;. The factory supplies sweetcorn used in Woolworths’ rice mix. <p>VBS Mutual Bank depositors will now access their funds through Nedbank. This attempt by the reserve bank to assist depositors in accessing their funds will resume on Friday. <p>According to a report, the management of cash-strapped Eskom is set to lay off 15 000 workers as they look to recover unpaid bills and increase tariffs to boost revenues by about 50 per cent in four years. Eskom which depends on government support to service its 368 billion rand debt is looking into what it calls a liability management exercise to implement a turnaround plan, according to the report.
