ANKARA, April 3 (Reuters) – A large fire burned, with black smoke billowing into the air above Turkey’s capital city Ankara on Wednesday, according to Reuters witnesses and the governor’s office.

The office said the fire broke out in an open area where old car tyres were located in an industrial site in Yenimahalle district.

The fire spread to workplaces due to the wind, and the fire brigade was working to extinguish it from the ground and air, it added. (Reporting by Huseyin Hayatsever Editing by Mark Potter)
