Russian supersonic missile boat enters Mediterranean

April 14 (Reuters) – A Russian navy frigate equipped with Kinzhal supersonic missiles has entered the Mediterranean Sea via the Suez Canal as part of planned exercise, Russia’s defence ministry said on Sunday.

The ministry said in a statement that the ship, “Marshal Shaposhnikov”, would continue performing the tasks assigned to its under the expedition plan. It provided no details. (Reporting by Reuters; Alex Richardson)
