<p>The Nigerian government has rejected the World Bank’s report on the state of Nigeria’s power sector arguing that it is unclear what empirical evidence the global lender deployed to arrive at their figures. In the report, the World Bank noted that 78 per cent of consumers in Nigeria received less than 12 hours of electricity supply daily and stressed that businesses lose $29 billion annually over unreliable power supply.
